Will's first girlfriend

On Monday I took Will to school. When we walked in and singed in I was holding and kissing on him, our usual routine :) When I went to put him down there were two little girls with open arms saying, "Good morning Willie!!" He didn't even look and walked right past them. I snickered inside thinking it was a little rude, yet funny and left.

When I picked him of from school on Monday they were out on the playground and the same little girls were walking with him over to me. I said, "hi! What's your names?" One was Macey, the other was something else...I remembered Macey because Will always talks about her. I had always asked if he liked her and always says, "NO, that's Maverick's girlfriend!" (Maverick is one of his best buds at school).

Well, Tuesday afternoon I picked him up. We were in the car on our way home and I was asking about his day...he was quiet for a moment and said, "Mom, I need to tell you something." I said, "okay, what is it buddy?" He said, "Never mind," with a smirk on his face. So, instead of insisting on him telling me, I blew it off, pulled over to get gas, when I got back in the car Will said, "Okay, I want to tell you now." I said, "Cool, what's up." With blushing cheeks and a smile he said, "Macey is BEAUTIFUL!" (which she is a very pretty little girl!) I said, "Yes, she is!" He said, "Maverick said she's the most beautiful girl in the World....I said yes and that was mostly the end of that conversation Tuesday.

Last night (Wednesday) I was laying down with Will putting him to bed and he said, "Maverick broke Macey's heart!" I said, "wow, really? how?" He said, "He didn't want a girlfriend anymore so he broke up with her, and it broke her heart" (this is seriously coming out a four-year olds mouth!) I said, "Aww, how said...did you hug her and make her feel better?" He said, "YES, she really wanted a boyfriend." I said, "so you're her boyfriend now?" He said with a grin, "YES!" I asked him if Maverick was still his friend...he said, yeah, after he did it he said he wanted a girlfriend so he asked another girl, then another girl........he has a boyfriend now (Oh my!)
I was telling my sister this on the phone, because of course I think it's funny....she laughed and said, I can only imagine how Maverick's parents feel as he tells them his story...I didn't even think of that lol! She also said, I'm pretty sure Will broke some sort of "man code" hahaha...probably true again, but it doesn't seem the his pre-k clan minds....I guess we'll see what he has to say when I pick him up today.

Anyways, enough rambling. I think it's cute Will's has a girlfriend as long as it stays pre-kish it will be cute! It's precious how his face lights up when he talks about her. I pray that as Will grows older that he will 1) still jump in my arms and hug and kiss me in public! :) and 2) that he will continue to have open communication with me!!

Last night we went to Rachel and Marshall's for an "around the World" New Years Party. It was the coolest NYE party I've ever been to! We started off at a neighbors house and each hour we toasted to a New Years, first was Puerto Rico, the Greenland, then US each hour we went to a different neighbors house (I think this was the order any way...) We ended up at Rachel and Marshall's for our midnight toast. Faith and Will had an absolute blast! When they got a little crazy we pulled out their iPod touches to calm them down. Will made it til about 11:30 and Faith was a trooper until about 1am. This morning we woke up and Rachel cooked pancakes, bacon, eggs, and the best cinnamon coffee EVER! It was the most fun I've had in a long time, hanging out with old high school buddies.

Daron got a new job and will be traveling MUCH less (YAY!)

Daron and I went to Miami, Lake Medina, and Vegas

Twincole (The Elf on the shelf) joined our family this year

I am sure there are many more I'm leaving out, but these are the ones the kids and I can think of off the top of our head...2011 was a really great year for the Moulton's. We look forward to 2012 with anticipation. We wish you and yours a happy, healthy new year!

Christmas Monday @ Sea World

Monday morning we went to Nannie's house to give Mandy her Christmas gift and love on them before we left town. It was great seeing them! Then we were off to San Antonio for our last Sea World trip of the year. Stevie, Ashley, and Bella met us there. It was not that crowded so we all road all the rides, went to the shows, fed Sea Lions, ate churros and popcorn to our hearts content....just want I needed :) lol. We went out to dinner for some really bad Chile's service before we parted ways. Stevie and Ashely were SO kind to take the kids back to Victoria with them so Daron and I could get back to Houston to work for the week.

Christmas Day--The Carson's and Boepple's

We headed on over to Daron's parents for the Boepple/Carson Christmas...there were about 50 family members. It was nice to see some of Daron's cousins and Aunts that we have not seen in a while. There was plenty of food for sure! We did our traditional lunch, then ornament exchange, which is a blast, then the kids had their Christmas.

Will going to be a big brother???

Will and I had a debate tonight on whether or not he will be a big brother...yeah, unless the good Lord bestows another child upon us, it's just the two...lol...He said, "Mommy, I really want to be a big brother." I said, "You do?" He said, "Yeah, I want a baby brother...not a baby sister, I wont wike (like) a baby sister." I explained to him when mommy's have babies they don't get to choose a boy or girl that God just gives them one or the other...so then he said, "Okay, well you can just have one of each then..." I was like oh really? I can have two??? He said, "yeah...I really want there to be 7 kids in this house"....I was like whoa...you can have 7 one day...he said, "no...I want you to." I said, "Well then you wont be my baby anymore..." He said, "Yes I will...we'll all be your babies" (which would be true)...I then asked him where they would sleep, he said, "the baby thing." I said, "where will we put the baby thing?" He said, "In the baby bed." I said, "well, where will we put the baby bed?" He said, "MOM, I DON'T KNOW!! I JUST WANT TO BE A BIG BROTHER!" :) LOL! Well, those of you who know me well, I am more than content with my precious Faith and Will....and no, my heart hasn't changed...so I guess we'll keep living life and see if God has any tricks up his sleeve :) Until then (and hopefully there wont be a then)...I win the debate :)

Disclaimer...if there ever is a 'then' we will be blessed and excited about it...but for now I am more than happy with what God has blessed us with!

Christmas Day @ The Moulton's

Then we got ready and we headed over to Papa and Nini's (Moulton's) where we gave Nini her present and visited a moment. She updated us on how Papa was doing (he was put in the hospital on Christmas Eve). He had to get a pacemaker put in on Monday, but is still having some problems with his blood pressure dropping and passing out--so please keep him in your prayers.

Sunday evening Daron, Stevie, Ashley, and I went up to the hospital to visit Papa (Moulton) he was as ornery as usual :) They have been trying to get him to eat and he has NO interest. I sat there for almost an hour forcing down a 1/4 of his Ensure...oh well, I guess a 1/4 more than he would have drank if we weren't there :) lol. He was able to go home on Tuesday, but had another spell on Wednesday and is now back in the hospital. We went and visited him today and he didn't look as good as he did Sunday...hopefully we'll be able to get some answers soon. Please keep him in your prayers.

Christmas morning we woke up at my parent's house....Christmas morning at my parent's is always a magical time! My Nannie and Papa drove out for a delicious homemade breakfast. Then we gathered around the tree for presents. It was great, but we sure did miss the other half of the family :(

Christmas Eve evening we ate Mama's homemade stew, it was delicious on a dreary cold evening! Watched a movie in the family room. Then Daron and I went over to the Sandidge's for a game of Taboo. It was a lot of fun.

Christmas at our house

Christmas preparation:

This was our first year to do the Elf on the Shelf...here are some of Twincole's favorite spots of this year...

Each year we travel to Victoria for Christmas so our family Christmas is always on a random day or time....Mommy has to wait for Santa to email her so we know when it will be....aka whenever we finally get everything ready we'll have it :)

On Tuesday, December 20th, the kids called me at work and asked if I had seen the Elf that day, I had not and they told me he was in the tree and they thought it was SO funny! That evening when we realized everything was ready for our Christmas I moved Twincole (the elf) to the mantel where the kids stockings were. After their bath we ran to Randalls, when we got home I was on the couch and starting laughing and telling the kids I saw Twincole and he was so cute...they said, yeah, in the tree....I said NO, he's by your stocking...that's when they looked and realized Santa had come :) I know, not the traditional way, but that's how we roll...

Faith couldn't believe Santa took advantage of our short trip to Randalls and stopped by our house :)

Vegas

December 9-13, 2011

Daron had a business trip to Las Vegas this past weekend and I was able to fly out for a few days with him. We had a fabulous time! We didn't roll the conventional Vegas way...we did as much as we could while trying to rest up at the same time.

Friday night we landed and were exhausted from the week so we decided to go look in a few of the many fabulous hotels in Vegas, burgers for dinner and early to bed.

Saturday we walked around all day looking at the amazing hotels. That night we went to KA by Cirque Du Soleil, it was amazing...then the highlight of my weekend was stumbling upon a free Eli Young Band Concert! Was SOOOO much fun!

This dude was still in the same spot at the end of the day entertaining tons of people...I bet he rolls in the dough lol!

Sunday we went sky diving...check off my bucket list! I've always wanted to go sky diving and it just kind of happened! I would highly recommend going, I hope to again one day!

Monday Daron had to work so I walked around and looked in shops all day. It was a rainy cold day so I tried to stay in the shopping centers as much as I could.

We really didn't make any bad choices...this time :) but thought this shirt was hilarious!

I wish all shopping malls were this gorgeous! I don't care to shop, but just walking in the gorgeous places...I could do that forever...

Tuesday we packed up and headed home. It was such a nice getaway, but I was ready to get back and see my kiddos!

Elf on the shelf

This is our first year to use elf on the shelf. On Tuesday night we sat down as a family and read the book. They decided to name him Twinkle (twin-cole) obviously Faith wanted Twinkle and Will wanted a boy name so she got Twin and Will got Cole--Twinkle lol...

So if you don't know how the elf works...each night he flies back to the North Pole to report to Santa how the kids were and returns each morning in a new spot. As the book says, they are not allowed touch him or he will lose his magical power to fly back and tell Santa and he can not talk to them, but they can talk to him as much as they want...

Day 1: kids talking to him
Will: I want an iPod Touch....and a girlfriend (when he saw me looking at him he grinned and said, "just kidding!" and went to his room! LOL!

Faith was whispering so I'm not sure what she told him.

Day 2:

We need daddy to come home and put him in cool places like this one

Day 3: he was sitting on Daron's chair. He's out of town so I figured it would be a safe spot since Daron is out of town...

What a nice place...NOT

well tonight I was on the phone with my grandpa, Faith was doing her homework and Will was looking at the book. I was facing the other way and I immediately heard them both start hysterically crying...as I tried to shorten my conversation with my grandpa I looked down and noticed Twinkle laying on the ground. Will was crying out, "I didn't mean to!" Apparently he bumped the elf off the chair and they were SO sad he had lost his magical powers to go back to Santa and they wouldn't get what they wanted for Christmas anymore. I'm not going to lie, I was laughing so hard in my head. I mean it was sad they were sad...but it was just a funny situation. I said, "yall didn't touch him, so he didn't lose his powers...after yall go to bed he will fly back to Santa and come back tomorrow." It took at least 15 minutes to convince them it was okay and calm them down. One thing for sure is this will be in my memory bank for the rest of my life...I can't wait to retell this story when they are in high school. hahaha!!

The Elf has reported to tomorrow's duty (since mommy is tired) So he will sit on daddy's counter tomorrow...hopefully there will be no tragedies :)

Tonight Will had a headache and felt a little warm so I got him so motrin. As he was standing there waiting on me I asked him how old he was...he said, "four." I said, "oh yeah, four and a half..." he said, "NO, I'm a wittle (little) four." I said, "oh really, you are?" He said, "yeah, wittle fours don't love their mommy's, they just like them...they love their daddy's though!"

So precious! This conversation doesn't bother me because I know he loves me! But I am so glad he loves his daddy. I'm so blessed to have a nurturing husband!

The things kids say...

These are just a few things my kids have said this week that totally crack me up!

It was dinner time on Monday night and I was just about done, so I told the kids to go wash their hands in the bathroom. Will came back in about 20 seconds and Daron said, "there's no way you washed your hands that fast...you use soap?" Will said, "no, I didn't use soap....................or water." Daron and I about lost it....I was laughing uncontrollably, Daron was too! We just thought that was so funny...he went and washed his hands for real after that~silly boy!

That same night, after dinner, I was cleaning the kitchen. Daron and the kids were laying on the living room floor playing Guess Who, one of Faith's new birthday games. We had just been teaching them how to play and they were going back and forth asking each other questions....Will guessed one person and Faith blurts out, "NO, I'm MORON!" Daron and I busted out laughing! I can't even remember what the real name was now, but it was a letter or two off moron~silly girl!

Monday Daron and I took the day off, mainly for me to get rested from the 1/2 marathon and for us to hang out another day before he started traveling again. So, we took the kids to school together that morning. As usual dropped Faith off first then took Will. We both walked him in hugged and kissed and left (I was in workout clothes so I'm sure I looked a little unusual compared to most days). Then Tuesday Daron took Will to school on his way to work, so yesterday was my first day to take Will to school by myself this week. As I was signing him in a teacher who often greets me came up with a huge smile....she said, I asked Will on Monday, "Your mommy taking the day off?" He said......."Yes, cuz she was running coupons at the store." She apparently told Daron when he dropped Will off on Tuesday and he explained that I had ran a half marathon. I laughed all the way to work thinking about Will telling his teachers that. Even when I dropped him off this morning the teachers brought it back up, they were cracking up that he thought I was at the store...I was like well, I am kind of a mean mom...I go into the store with a list and coupons to go along with my list, we get what's on the list, very rarely anything else, usually in a hurry....guess he thought that's what I was doing LOL!~silly boy

I am blessed beyond measure to have two amazing kiddos that are the light of this World. They make me laugh so hard! I love them!

San Antonio 1/2 Marathon

How this came about...

Last year I ran the San Antonio Rock 'n Roll 1/2 Marathon with my Mom and sister...had the most amazing experience EVER and having NO intentions of running it again :) My mom called me over Spring Break and asked me if I was thinking about it? I said, "No." She texted me about 10 minutes later telling me she had registered me :) okay....so I began casually running again.

The beginning of April I was walking the kids to a friends house in the neighborhood. On our way there was a "lady" (Robin) and her son (Ty) that I had met walking around the neighborhood before. We began talking about exercising, losing weight, yadayada....I told her "my story," and then told her how my mom had signed me up to run the 1/2 again, that if she wanted to work out with me that it would be cool to have a partner...Robin talked to her husband (Chris) that night and we started working out on Good Friday, April 22nd. We have worked out fairly consistently meeting before the sunrises each morning running, biking, boot camp, Jillian Michael's....and through the vigorous workouts, all the early morning "I don't wanna wake ups..." has flourished into an awesome friendship.

Robin, thank you for running this race with me! Even though I ran the 1/2 last year and felt amazing...this year took me to a new level. It was the hardest thing I have ever done. The heat and the pain had me wanting to quit and because of you, your positive attitude, and our family we were able to endure and finish. I appreciate you and I'm so proud of your accomplishment!

Since April 22, 2011 we have ran 191.71 miles,

biked 149.45 miles and walked 55.26 miles

Now that was not my goal time by any means...actually 34 minutes longer than my goal time, but you know I'm going to own all 3h:04m:09s of that 1/2...it was hard and I'm proud of it!

If you have always wanted to do something, anything, start with baby steps TODAY! I NEVER thought I would EVER run a 1/2 marathon, let alone 2! You can ask anyone that knows me well, I've never had a desire to run, but my mom and sister planted a seed last year (my sister actually for years) and has continued to motivate and support me.

I look forward to continuing to be healthy, casually running short distances, cycling, boot camps, weights, etc, but I think for now I'm going to give my body a little break. I have deep down in me that one day I would like to run a full marathon (I think)...but like having a baby...I'm going to have to forget this race a little bit before I can think of getting the crazys to run a full!

Faith's 7th Birthday Party

When we began planning Faith's birthday party this year Faith said, "Mommy, I don't care for cake." I said, "Okay, you want a cookie?" She said, "No, I like Icecream!" So that is where this theme was developed and I ran with it. It was so much fun!

We took the kids to SeaWorld in October and it was AWESOME!! There were hardly any people there so we went on each ride 2-3 times without any wait. They also had it decorated for Halloween. They even had a section where the kids could go trick-or-treating. I would highly recommend you take your family next October. The weather was fantastic, overall, it was fabulous!

Last time we came to SeaWorld over spring break the lines to feed the dolphins were terrible! This time there was not wait and the kids were thrilled they were going to get to feed the dolphins!
(truth be known...mommy was super excited too!)

Each year LCISD gives students this day off to kick off the Ft. Bend County Fair. On Friday morning they have a parade that runs along Highway 90 in Richmond into Rosenberg. We have gone the past three years and the kids have a blast.
