Visit with TRay

About two months ago I began working with the Home bound Ministry at our church. I was assigned to a sweet man at an Alzheimer home, TRay. The first time I visited, I didn't know if I was going to enjoy it much since he doesn't really talk and I felt awkward. Well, the next time I took the kids with me. They livened his spirits. He still doesn't talk, but he smiles and nods his head. We always bring him goodies, either cookies, trail mix, or dried apricots. It is so much fun to go and let the kids give his goodies and hug him.

Will has gotten to the point at night I will say, what do you want mommy to sing you and he says, "TRay." Well, I had to make up a song about TRay, I never can remember what it is that I made up, so every night I sing something new about how wonderful TRay is.

We usually try to visit a couple times a month and this month we have already gone twice. The kids just love going. Each time we go we make more and more friends, see more and more smiles, and get more and more hugs.

I am so thankful for this experience of getting to see my children love on these people, even if they don't remember us next week...it brings joy to my heart.

My kids don't sit well for long periods of time...today they both crawled up in the same chair and watched an old western movie with a few of the people. It was just such a wonderful sight!

Well, until next time...

"Are you pulling my knee?"

Now that Will is potty trained we seem to go places with a lighter load...no diaper bags, etc. Well, yesterday we were on our way to a play date and all I had was my purse. We had just pulled out of the driveway when Faith said, "Mommy, do you have everything?" I said, "Yes, honey." She said, "Are you sure?" I said, "Yes, honey." She said, "Are you pulling my knee?"

The truth is, is that I am terrible at remembering and saying old sayings...now this one in particular I have never messed up, but Faith just so happened to come up with it on her own...I began to laugh hysterically...I had to immediately call Daron and let him know what she had just said.

She is too funny!

Mommy, what do you wanna be when you grow up?

Well, this story is from about a month ago, but I wrote it down and want to add it to my blog...

We were in the car driving when Faith said, "Mom, What do you wanna be when you grow up?" I said, "I still don't know." She said, "Come on mom, you can be anything you wanna be." I said, "a Mom." She said, "Well that 'happened' to you, so what do you wanna be...I mean I know you are already old, but what do you wanna be?" haha...I laughed and said I want to be a teacher or a missionary...funny what 4 year olds say :)

My First Time..

So, today is my first time to blog. I have multiple stories each day when Daron gets home, so I figured I would start posting them somewhere where all my friends and family can read them.

So, a little about me and the familia...I am married to Daron and have been for 6 1/2 years. We have two children, Faith (5) and Will (2 1/2). I am currently the CEO of the Moulton Organization. My duties include, but are not limited to, Fixing meals, wiping faces and hands, vacuuming 5 times a day, mopping, going on bear hunts, coloring, storytelling, watching Olivia, Barney, Peter Pan, and Monsters vs Aliens more times than I can count, snuggling, hugging, and kissing, paying bills, going to the grocery store, laundry, laundry, & more laundry, dishes, alternating singing the Wheels on the Bus and ABC to satisify my two children...life is good...

Daron works downtown as Sales Manager...mmm, that's about all I can explain and YES it's legal :)

Well, last of all this blog site is mainly for me to be able to look back and remember all of the great memories we are making right now and in hopes that you may find it interesting as well...If you choose to embark on this little adventure of what I call "life" I hope it will bring you joy, smiles, tears, and will be a blessing to you.

So, Here we gooooooooooooo.... (btw...that's from Peter Pan) :)
